MVV Umwelt chosen bidder for Devon dockyard waste incinerator

PLYMOUTH'S £140million waste incinerator is to be built at Devonport Dockyard's North Yard. The city's daily newspaper The Herald has learned that the German company MVV Umwelt is the chosen bidder. According to informed sources the company was chosen over its rival Viridor to build an Energy from Waste (EfW) incinerator to handle all domestic rubbish from Plymouth, Torbay and South Devon.
