Industry groups are calling for the creation of a Community Energy Fund to boost the UK's progress in making all new homes zero carbon by 2016. Housing minister Grant Shapps yesterday (December 20th) confirmed that the government is examining ways that housebuilders can reduce emissions in homes by supporting such renewable energy schemes in their area.
