EU 'may exceed 2020 renewable energy target'

The European Union (EU) is likely to surpass its target of generating 20 percent of all energy consumed on the continent from renewable sources by 2020, new research suggests. An analysis of action plans from the 27 member states by the European Renewable Energy Association (EWEA) found 15 countries will exceed their national targets, with Bulgaria leading the way.
